What happens at a car accident evaluation
- 01
The crash, in your words
Where you were sitting, the direction of impact, whether your head hit anything, and what you have felt since.
- 02
A hands-on exam
Spine and joint movement, muscle tenderness, posture and, when appropriate, a neurological screen of reflexes, strength and sensation.
- 03
A decision about fit
If anything points to imaging or a medical provider, we tell you before we do anything else and help with the referral.
- 04
Your plan in plain English
Findings, care options, visit frequency and cost, explained before care begins. You decide whether to start.
- 05
Records from day one
Each visit is documented. With your signed authorization we release records to you or anyone you name. Turnaround: about 15 business days.
What we evaluate after a collision
- Neck pain and stiffness, including whiplash-type strain
- Upper and lower back pain
- Shoulder and hip discomfort from bracing or seat-belt pressure
- Headaches that began after the crash (we refer for a medical evaluation when your symptoms call for one)
- Reduced range of motion and muscle tightness
How billing can work after a Texas crash
Depending on your situation, a visit may be paid through personal injury protection (PIP) or MedPay on your auto policy, your health insurance, or self-pay at our posted prices. Ask your insurer what your policy includes. We explain our fees in writing before your first treatment. We are not attorneys and can’t give legal advice. More detail: insurance & billing.
What to bring
- Photo ID and your health insurance card
- Auto insurance card and claim number, if you have one

Questions we hear from Richardson patients
I was in a crash on Campbell Road this morning. Can I be seen today?
We hold same-day exam slots when the schedule allows. Call (214) 484-2629 to check. If you have any emergency symptom, go to the ER first.
Do I need a police report before my visit?
No. If police responded, bring the report number if you have it. It helps keep your records complete, but it is not required to be seen.
Do I need an attorney to be seen?
No. You can book directly. Whether to talk to a lawyer is your choice, and we cannot give legal advice.
Can you send my records to my insurance company?
Yes, once you sign an authorization that names who should receive them. See our records requests page.
